UAV Test Flights
Participated in flight test operations with Purdue Aerial Robotics, contributing to 4 successful test sorties. Operations validated Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL), fixed-wing horizontal flight, active winch deployment, and dynamic VTOL-to-horizontal flight transitions. Served a multi-functional role across ground operations, pre-flight safety checkpoints, and aircraft configuration management.
Pre-Flight Inspection & Safety Check:
Conducted comprehensive control surface checks, ensuring structural security and nominal actuation of the tilt-rotors, ailerons, tail rotors, and flaps.
Mass Properties Verification:
Performed critical Center of Gravity (CG) verifications post-avionics integration to ensure longitudinal and lateral stability within specified aerodynamic envelopes.
Field Integration & Logistics:
Executed field assembly and breakdown protocols, safely installing and removing tilt-rotors and the tail assembly to ensure damage-free transport.
GSE Management:
Managed Ground Support Equipment (GSE), systematically organizing specialized flight line tools, fasteners, and hardware sub-kits dedicated to individual structural sub-assemblies.
